‘The Owner’ Soundtrack – 4 of 5 stars
One of the most important critics in Spain just wrote this review:
“Score co-written by Michael Marino, in which both composers assume a role in common but different missions. The music -solidly cohesive-, serves to unite under one umbrella the many stories narrated, maintaining a stable continuity dramatical and emotional. But the music by Marino is mainly intended to expose the emptiness and a moderate existential angst, while Garzón talks about freedom, dignity and commitment to moving forward, and his music is exactly in that direction. Both composers are engaged in a kind of duel in which their musics just need each other to form their own essences. And therefore, the final resolution is so relieving and bright, it is the light at the end of a dark and suffering tunnel. In any case, the two end up as winners in this battle and the film is the great benefited.”
Kudos to the composers David Alonso Garzon und Mike Marino!
